House Spoilers: Lucas Goes to "Extinction"?

No, Michael Weston is not going to extinction.  But, he is a little busy with the  play, "Extinction", these days.  Korbi Gosh analyzes the latest activities of Michael Weston and the interview last week with EP David Shore which says that Lucas will not last for a long time.

Earlier this week, the readers of KTV got a chance to express their opinions regarding the Lucas-Cuddy relationship on "House" and, well, it wasn't pretty.

Seems many are displeased with the producers' fondness for the character of Lucas (Michael Weston) and the fact that both Katie Jacobs and David Shore said he'd be sticking around for awhile.

But it looks as though "awhile" won't last all that long.

Michael Weston has signed on to play a lead role in the Off-Broadway play "Extinction" alongside "Psych"'s James Roday. The play is scheduled to debut February 13.

By our estimation, "House" is currently working on episode 18 or 19, which means the cast and crew still have at least a few more hours and a few more weeks of production ahead of them. If you do the math, it seems improbable that Weston will be around for the "House" finale.

This isn't a huge surprise considering the fact that Jacobs and Shore did say that the Lucas-Cuddy relationship wouldn't last forever, but many of you were still wondering what the exact time line would be.

The news of Weston's latest endeavor could be a clue.

House Spoilers: Scoop on Wilson

Another inside scoop by Michael Ausiello at EW reveals that Wilson will have his chance on another romance after Amber.  That is sooo good to hear.  It's about time that he moves on with his life and have a little fun sometimes.

I'm really excited with Hugh Laurie's directorial debut.  Can't wait to see what he has in store for us "House" fans.

Question: Is there a chance Wilson will go on a date this season on House? —Martina

Ausiello:
Not only is there a chance, it’s a good one. A really good one. In other House couples news, I hear House and Lucas will engage in some swordplay later this season. No, not that kind of swordplay.

Question: Tell us something about Hugh Laurie’s direction of episode 17. How’d he make out? —Denise

Ausiello:
Let’s ask Lisa Edelstein: “I have been directed by Hugh Laurie and it was fantastic,” she declares. “It’s one thing to have a tall, strapping man around, but it’s quite another thing when he tells you what to do!” Lisa, don’t ever change.

House Spoilers: House Fans on Lucas and Cuddy

Here are some of the reactions of House fans with regards to the Luddy relationship as heard by Korbi Gosh of Zap2It.  If you haven't seen the interview with David Shore on the same topic, please do so before you proceed.

The overwhelming viewer response via comments and email was decidedly anti-Lucas and Cuddy (aka Luddy), however we did hear from a few Lucas fans as well, so we thought we'd highlight some of your thoughts...

David Shore, you are wonderful and your show is amazing. But Lucas is very annoying. -Anonymous
--
That's great you like Lucas Davis Shore because no one else does!!!! Glad he is not permanent though - best House news I have heard in a long while. The fact weare stuck with him for he forseeable future though is disturbing, really disturbing. Guess what DS we like House too how about stopping wasting HL screen time on boring sub plots and characters like Lucas! -Belle
--
Great...Lucas will be there for the foreseeable future. Not permanent does not tell us when he'll leave. Hopefully, he'll be gone by the end of the season. Or else this is one viewer that will stop watching. I really don't understand why DS and KJ likes this Lucas. They seem to be the only ones. -Bored
--
Is Michael Weston DS's secret love child? Is that why he likes Lucas and insists on keeping him when no one likes this character? -Ugh
--
Amber should come back and run Lucas over with a bus. Then, maybe we can get rid of this disgusting character. -Anonymous
--
Cool that the relationship between Cuddy and Lucas won't last. It's a pairing that does not work for me. House and Cuddy on the other hand makes me a little fan girl. -Karen
--
I loved Lucas but not with Cuddy. -Anonymous
--
I love how people like Belle speak try to speak for everyone. I like Lucas, he's fun, and most importantly, he keeps Cuddy away from House and we don't have to endure all this Huddy drama. -Katie
--
The Huddy fangirls constants complaints about Huddy/Luddy (for nothing!!! Why do you even complain?!) is intolerable, really. Let Cuddy be happy with Lucas, I like him. -Sandra
--
I'm sick and tired of huddies and hamerons. This show is about House not about ships so if you don't like it don't watch it. I'm not a shipper, I like Lucas and I'm enjoying the season so far. Good job! -Val
--
Though I like the chemistry between House and Cuddy and have always wanted them together, I'm enjoying Lucas right now. Good to see Cuddy with someone new, trying different things. House isn't ready for her yet. Why should she have to wait around and do nothing until he's ready? -Cat21

This last comment is where I'm at as well. It seems as though most people feel that House and Cuddy belong together -- including David Shore and executive producer Katie Jacobs -- but should Cuddy have to sit around and wait while House takes his time realizing it too? Let the lady have a little uncomplicated fun for now. Methinks the cranky doc will eventually come for her and maybe they'll even live happily ever after.

House Spoilers: A House Spin-off??

How do you feel about a House spin-off?  Who would you want as characters at play?  This is the latest from Michael Ausiello of EW.  Sound-off below for your ideas on this.

The Michael Weston-fronted House spin-off may have been condemned, but Fox remains keen on expanding the franchise. Network president Kevin Reilly tells me the hit’s EPs, David Shore and Katie Jacobs, have a “standing offer” to create another series. “It could be a direct spin-off or a completely new show,” says Reilly. “Ideally, I would love David and Katie to have their own [two-hour block].”

Regarding the duo’s first stab at a House offshoot, the one that would’ve focused on Weston’s private detective, Lucas Douglas, Reilly says they “kind of stuck their toe in the water and just didn’t feel like it worked. The [character] worked [on] House, but [he] didn’t really work as [his] own thing.

“They have really high standards,” he adds. “These are not guys who commercially are going to chase something just to announce they have a spinoff and then figure out the show later on. They’re probably the most thorough producers… I’ve ever worked with.”

For her part, Jacobs is game to try again. “I would like to do a 9 o’clock show,” she says. “Maybe a spin-off or maybe just another show from the two of us.” (Shore is currently shepherding a remake of The Rockford Files for NBC.) One way or another, she’s resigned herself to the fact that a new show is “the only way I seem to be able to penetrate the 9 o’clock hour” now that House is firmly entrenched at 8. “As a producer, you would never pick Mondays at 8. But having said that, the network put [House] there, and it seems to be working so I think they’re smarter about these things than we are. So we’re probably going to stay at 8.”

House Spoilers: House EP David Shore on Morrison-Huddy-Wilson

Watch this interview of KorbiTV with David Shore, the executive producer of "House".  He reveals some spoilers on the episode Hugh Laurie is directing.  Read on and you will find another spoiler that the episode that Hugh Laurie is directing might be the same episode where Jennifer Morrison will appear.  Some of the spoilers about the storyline is also written below:

Shore, who is in many ways a genius and who obviously works very hard to keep the "House" world afloat, seemed just a tiny bit pained when KTV correspondent Marisa Roffman brought up the Jennifer Morrison situation at a recent FOX party.

Will we get resolution for the Cameron-Chase storyline now that Morrison is no longer with the show?, she wanted to know. "I hope so," said Shore, "I've sort of given up on talking about that because I only get in trouble when I talk about it."

But with Morrison returning to "House" for one episode later this season, sources tell me we will absolutely get resolution.

If my intel is correct and Morrison's special ep is the one which Hugh Laurie is directing, then Shore actually shared a little more on what we can expect from the hour: "There's a bit of a lock down in the hospital. It's an interesting story. [There are] several smaller stories in one episode and Hugh's going to direct them."

In fact, this goes along with what I've been told about Morrison's return ep, that an emergency at Princeton Plainsboro traps both employees and patients inside and no one is allowed to leave. The lock down may or may not put a certain former couple in a position where they're alone together for a long period of time.

House Spoilers: Lisa Edelstein on Jennifer Morrison

How does Lisa Edelstein feel regarding Jennifer Morrison's guest appearance on "House"?  Michael Ausiello at EW has the answer:

Question: Did you get any House scoop from Lisa Edelstein at the Golden Globes? — Erin

Ausiello: No, I just snapped this picture and then ran away. Of course I got some scoop out of her. Lisa conceded that Jennifer Morrison’s exit earlier this season was “weird” for everyone. “It’s a very strange thing when somebody’s gone,” she admitted. “We’re all in the same boat as actors. We have very little control over our lives, so you can’t help but relate  —whether or not the person it’s happened to feels it’s a good or bad thing. It’s hard for everybody… But it’s really great to see her back.”

House Spoilers: Taylor Lautner on House?

From TV Guide Magazine, whatever this means, it's a good thing!  I hope it comes true, I like Taylor Lautner to guest on House.  How about you?  Speak your mind.

"Twilight" hearttrob Taylor Lautner gushed to House producers Katie Jacobs and David Shore that their show was his favorite, inspiring Shore to joke, "We're going to have to do a vampire episode now."

House Spoilers: Jennifer Morrison and Her Character on House

Here is another article on Morrison's guesting on "House" by TV Guide Magazine.

No one will say exactly when or for how long Jennifer Morrison will be returning to House as Dr. Cameron, perhaps because they don't yet know themselves. "You'll see her before the end of this season, and next season we'll figure out when this season is over," says executive producer Katie Jacobs.

Jennifer, who wowed on the red carpet in a one of a kind gown by Puerto Rican designer Luis Antonio (a Christmas gift from her boyfriend), says news of her return so soon after her dismissal came as "a pleasant surprise. I totally understood when (the producers) let me know that they didn't plan on continuing writing for my character, so if something else was offered I'd be available to do it. I have to look at this as everything happens for a reason. House will always be a home for me. I just want to be wherever I'm wanted and needed."

Co-star Lisa Edelstein, who plays Dr. Cuddy, couldn't be happier. "I love Jennifer," she says. "It was very hard to watch that happen to her so I'm very excited to see her come back."

So where has Cam been and what brings her back? "She's been practicing medicine at another hospital," says Jacobs. "There are certain things that are unresolved with Chase (Jesse Spencer), so she comes back seeking some sort of resolution. Whether it's good or bad I won't say."

Series creator David Shore warns fans, "There will be a different connection between her and Chase because of the absence."

House Spoilers: Jennifer Morrison Returns to House for a Closure?

Yesterday an interview by Michael Ausiello at EW, revealed that Jennifer Morrison is going to appear in "House" not as a regular in the series but to visit and give a finality on her departure.  She also said that she might appear again next season but not as a regular cast but only for TV guestings.  This is real bad news for Chameron fans and for "House" fans in general.  I love the character of Cameron and I'm sad to hear that this is how it's going to turn out.  Read on . . .

“The audience is going to get the information they were looking for,” says the actress, who declined to confirm the exact length or timing of her return except to tease that it occurs during a ”really smart episode.”

As for the circumstances surrounding her surprising departure, Morrison is more forthcoming, eager to make it clear that the decision to leave was not hers. “I love the show, and I love [Cameron],” she insists. “Under no circumstances would I ever decide on my own to leave.”

So what happened? She recounts: Executive producers David Shore and Katie Jacobs “came to me as we were leading up to episode 8 — which is the episode where I left — and said, ‘This is where we see the show creatively going, and [we're writing you out].’ And they very generously said, ‘We wanted to let you know so you knew you were available for other things, should they be offered.’ As far as I knew, there was nothing more.”

Opportunity ended up knocking on Morrison’s door soon after: She was cast in the Broadway revival of The Miracle Worker. And “right around the same time, [Shore and Jacobs] had an idea to [bring] some resolution to Cameron’s storyline. So very generously as well, the play has accommodated my missing some rehearsal time to do the show.”

And what about the future beyond the play, which will run at least through the spring? Although Morrison remains contractually bound to House next season, “I don’t believe that they have plans to pick up my option,” she confesses. “That does not mean I won’t be back for a handful of episodes, but it does mean I probably will not be a series regular next season.”

Naturally, looking back on her six-year run is bittersweet for her. But more sweet than bitter, it seems. “[Working on House has] been the most incredible blessing I could ever imagine,” she says. It’s been the most incredible people to work with and the most incredible character. But I have to respect the producers’ ideas of where the story is going.”

This is an amazing video of Olivia Wilde taken during the Golden Globes.  Thanks to SpoilerTV. A 3D hologram of Olivia during the past red carpet is shown to her. A virtual image that is so sexy, moves and has a shadow. Who would think that this is a hologram?
