House Spoilers: Hugh Laurie is in Ausiello's Dream Emmy Nominations

No doubt, Michael Ausiello at EW.com also picked Hugh Laurie as one of his best bets for the Emmy nominations for Best Lead Actor in a Drama series. Here is the list:

Best Lead Actor (Drama)

* Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights): His coach turned the misfits of East Dillon into champions. Surely that warrants an Emmy.

* Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad): I smell a three-peat.

* Michael C. Hall (Dexter): He killed as Dex tried (and failed) to have it all.

* Peter Krause (Parenthood): His character is flawed. His performance? Not so much.

* Hugh Laurie (House): Delivered the best work of his career in this season’s opener and closer.

* Timothy Olyphant (Justified): So strong, it’s dang near criminal.

Best Lead Actress (Drama)

* Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights) Carried the ball, never fumbling, even with a tricky abortion plot.

* Glenn Close (Damages): Showed us a devil of a time as Patty stared down her demons.

* Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad): The breakout performance of the year.

* Regina King (Southland) Simply put, the tube’s most complex female cop since… Yeah, I’m stumped too.

* Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife): Good? Try great.

* Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy): Season 2 sent Gemma to hell and back. Heavenly!

House Spoilers: Lisa Edelstein is in Ausiello's Dream Emmy Nominations

Michael Ausiello at EW.com has his dream Emmy nomination bets for Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a drama series.  Gladly and proudly, Lisa Edelstein is included in his list.  Though this has no basis, I just want to share it with you.  Here is the full list of Ausiello's Dream Emmy nominations:

Best Supporting Actress (Drama)

Khandi Alexander (Treme): Her work as a bar owner in post-Katrina New Orleans only makes us ask again, “CSI: Miami…why?”

Lisa Edelstein (House): Cuddy’s special day-in-the-life episode was a banner day indeed. And don’t even get me started on her beautifully restrained performance in the finale. On second thought, get me started.

Christina Hendricks (Mad Men): Should be confident on Emmy night, having shown us the vulnerability behind Joan’s swagger. She can also wield a vase like nobody’s business.

Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife): As Julianna Margulies’ sexually ambiguous sidekick, she suggests that behind every great woman is, frankly, another one.

Mae Whitman (Parenthood): Half of the most down-to-earth mother-daughter team since…well, you know.

Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood): When her Jessica’s good, she’s great. When she’s bad, she’s brilliant.

Best Supporting Actor (Drama)

Nestor Carbonell (Lost): Arguably the high point of the final season was “Ab Aeterno” and Carbonell’s career-defining work in it.

Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights): When Matt (spoiler alert!) lost his dad, his portrayer proved he was much more than just another pretty face.

John Noble (Fringe): Just when we thought his work as a mad scientist couldn’t get any better, the “Peter” episode aired.

Terry O’Quinn (Lost): His Man in Black/Smoke Monster was the first villain on the show to surpass creepy and get downright scary.

Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad): One word for you: “Fly.” If you don’t know what that means, how awful for you.

Martin Short (Damages): Short’s subtle work as the lawyer trying to protect the sins of his “father” was no laughing matter.

House Spoilers: What Comes After the 6th Season Finale?

Our favorite source, Michael Ausiello at EW.com has an update for us regarding the next thing on House after the 6th Season Finale.  Here it is:

Question: Thank you for the post-finale House Q&A with Katie Jacobs. Do you know if they are bringing in a new female character to fill the temporary Olivia Wilde void? —Deb

Ausiello:
I know of no such plans. Jacobs, however, confirms that Cynthia Watros will be back as Wilson’s former (and current) love, Sam. “She absolutely factors into the beginning of the season,” she says. “Where that relationship ultimately goes I don’t know.” Jacobs notes that this marks the first time that both House and Wilson will be involved in serious relationships simultaneously. “Wilson will be with Sam, and House will be with Cuddy,” she points out. “What does it look like for Princeton Plainsboro thematically? Does it work? We’re going to look at that next season.” Speaking of House, don’t forget to check out the first Nurse Jeffrey appisode next Monday. Click here for a preview.

House Spoilers: Olivia Wilde to Take a Break from House?

Michael Ausiello at EW.com says that Olivia Wilde will be taking a break from House.  To know the reason why?  Read on . . .

House will be minus Thirteen when it returns next season.

Olivia Wilde is taking time off from the Fox hit to shoot a starring role in the big-budget sci-fi Western Cowboys & Aliens.

“Olivia will be there at the very beginning of the season, and then she will not be there for a period of time,” explains executive producer Katie Jacobs.

Production on the Jon Favreau-helmed Cowboys — which is set to get under way next month and continue through the summer — is expected to overlap with season 7 of House by at least two months. The film also stars Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Sam Rockwell. (Fun fact: Lost boy Damon Lindelof co-wrote the script with Fringe exec producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.)

“She had this opportunity and she was really excited about it,” says Jacobs. “We’re very proud of her and very happy for her.”

The seeds of Thirteen’s departure were planted in last night’s season finale when, in the final moments of the episode, the Huntington’s-afflicted doc announced that she was taking a leave of absence from Princeton Plainsboro.

“The two things — the dates that she was going to be away and the story line [we wanted to tell] — worked out,” says Jacobs. “When the story unfolds, it will [all make] sense.”

I will surely miss Thirteen.  I like her a lot but this movie of hers is a big thing, with Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford.  I can't wait to see that movie too.  I hope she does get back on "House".

House Spoilers: Huddy Fans Rule!

Bliss is the only term our huddy fans know after the finale ending of "House".  So let us see here in the interview of Katie Jacobs with Michael Ausiello at EW.com what we should expect after the 6th season finale.

Fi. Na. Lly. House went there. When last night’s season finale ended in a Huddy liplock — a real one this time, it bears mentioning! — it seemed as though Dr. Crankypants and Cuddy at last were going to give a relationship the ol’ college try. But looks, as we’ve learned the hard way, can be deceiving. Is the Fox hit just messing with our emotions again? To find out, I rang up exec producer Katie Jacobs, who wasn’t just forthcoming with the scoop, she was pretty free with the kinda scoop that’s all but guaranteed to blow your mind.

That was one hell of a final scene. What should we take away from it?

KATIE JACOBS:
This is real and something that they are going to try. It’s something they stayed away from for a long period of time because it’s dangerous and the consequences could be severe. But now they’re going to give it a try.

They’re going to make a go of a relationship?

JACOBS:
Absolutely. Yes.

What are we led to believe happened after the screen faded to black?

JACOBS:
That’s exactly the conversation we had. Does the audience want us to pick up two or three months later? Or is the audience interested in us [picking up right where we left off]? And it’s really dependent on the narrative. Last year when House checked himself into the psychiatric hospital, I felt like it wouldn’t be good enough for the audience just to see him come out the other end and [return] to Princeton Plainsboro. Even though they knew he would [eventually] return there, I wanted everybody to see the moment after.

So which scenario will you choose this time around?

JACOBS:
Put it this way… I’m certainly in the camp of not wanting to miss much after the fade to black. Because the truth is the challenges that are ahead for them are the things that kept them apart to begin with. It’s not chemistry or the spark. It’s “How are we going to deal with this? We’re going to be together. What does that look like?” Cuddy is his superior at the hospital. And she’s a mother. Those are the kind of things we’re going to have fun with.

I could be wrong but I think Huddy fans want to see a real, non-hallucinatory sex scene.

JACOBS:
I get it. We’re in the process of figuring all that out right now, so I don’t have an answer. But this isn’t just about the [season premiere]. This isn’t something that will work or fail in just one episode. We’re going to attempt to make a true exploration of this relationship.

Were you on set when that last scene was shot?

JACOBS:
Yes. It was amazing. Our prop guy, Eddie, had tears in his eyes. You never know how people are going to react to the story, but seeing Eddie with tears in his eyes and happy with the fact that House and Cuddy were finally going to give it a try was very satisfying.

House Spoilers: "Help Me" Promo 3

If you didn't catch the other promos, here is "Help Me" promo from MsHousefan.  Tune in tonight on FOX.  You must see the season finale of "House".  Hit the comments section below to express your thoughts.

House Spoilers: Lisa Edelstein on the 6th Season Finale

The following segment is an interview of Lisa Edelstein with TV Guide on the season finale of "House".  House and Cuddy is faced with a crane collapse accident while everybody was moving on with their lives except for House.

TVGuide.com: Last week, Dr. Nolan and House came to the realization that Cuddy's relationship with Lucas has deeply affected House. How will that carry over into the finale?

Edelstein:
It comes to a head for sure. Cuddy is making some moves in her life that are really painful for House, even though he's trying to be the bigger man. I think House is taking all the decisions in her own life personally. When really, the things Cuddy is doing, she's doing for herself. She's trying to make better decisions that might lead to a happier, easier future. They're not necessarily the decisions that stick. They're just the ones you try to do. And in the meantime, they are caught up in an awful disaster where they team up to help this woman. In the process it really forces them to face each other and see each other for who they are.

TVGuide.com: There's obviously something there, so why do you think she's giving up on him?

Edelstein:
Because of her daughter. The fact that she's a mother and needs something stable in her life. She's got so much responsibility that to have an intimate relationship with House would mean she'd have another huge task at hand. And I think she's doing everything she can to stop herself from going in that direction.

TVGuide.com: Well, do you think she really loves Lucas?

Edelstein:
I think it's more about having a stable family. I don't think it's great passion. It's one of those times in a person's life where you try to choose against your instinct because what you need is stability. I think what really turns her on is, well, not stability. She's got huge responsibilities now. In [the recent Cuddy-centric episode], you see Lucas knows how to show up and helps her in practical matters — even though he's a disappointment in that particular episode [Laughs]. Her relationship with House goes much deeper. He's the one that helps her in a way that's more meaningful. She's able to come to new understandings with him.

TVGuide.com: A lot of fans truly hate the "Luddy" relationship. What's your take on that?

Edelstein:
I love it. I think it's fantastic that people are so passionate about it. It's very hard to watch two people that you think should just get together not get together. It's very painful because you get attached to an idea. But I don't think the exploration of House and Cuddy is over by any stretch of the imagination. I just think she could not go further with him until she tried something else. There's no way. She has to try to live the life that she thinks is the more correct way of doing this. This is the woman who is very responsible. Until she's done going in that direction, which I don't know when that will be, she's got to do what she's got to do.

TVGuide.com: Would you like to see House and Cuddy get together before end of the series, or do you think that would ruin things?

Edelstein:
I do think they need to do something about it. And I would trust David Shore to never make it actually work. [Laughs] It has to be tortured and painful. I mean, these are not happy people. If they suddenly became happy, the dynamics of the show would change. Would I like to see something go on? Yeah. But how will it happen, I have no idea.

TVGuide.com: Recent episodes have dropped hints that House is headed for a relapse. What can you tell us about that?

Edelstein:
House came out of the hospital with the intention of getting Cuddy. So that's an arc of this season for sure. Wilson's been there to take care of him, but Cuddy's been the thing on his mind. He's tried many times this season to convince her to be with him, so I do think that's a major sense of failure.

TVGuide.com: So. Tell us how it all ends?

Edelstein:
No. [Laughs] A lot of people on the show haven't even seen the finale scene.

TVGuide.com: So is it really good?

Edelstein:
Yes!

House Spoilers: Plot of "The Oranges" Movie of Hugh Laurie

Actress Leighton Meester And Actor Hugh Laurie On The Set Of Oranges On April 29, 2010 In New York City

Got this info from Comingsoon.net about the new movie of House's cranky-pants doc played by Hugh Laurie, "The Oranges".  I won't miss this too.

The Oranges

Release Date: TBA
Studio: Olympus Pictures
Director: Julian Farino
Screenwriter: Jay Reiss, Ian Helfer
Starring: Hugh Laurie, Catherine Keener, Leighton Meester, Allison Janney, Oliver Platt, Alia Shawkat, Adam Brody, Sam Rosen
Genre: Dark Comedy

Plot Summary: The Ostroff and Walling families are best friends and neighbors, living across the street from each other on Orange Drive. Prodigal daughter Nina Ostroff (Meester) returns home for Thanksgiving dinner after a five-year absence, newly broken up with her fiancé Ethan (Rosen). Rather than developing an interest in the successful son of her neighbors, Toby Walling (Brody), which would please both families, it's her parents' best friend David Walling (Laurie) that captures Nina's attention. When the romantic attraction between Nina and David Walling becomes too great to ignore, the lives of the two families are thrown into upheaval.

It is not long, however, before the ramifications of the affair begin to work on the other family members in unexpected, hilarious and even positive ways, leading everyone to reassess what it means to be happy, and how to find happiness with, and perhaps in spite of, your own family and friends.

House Spoilers: Season Finale Spoiler from Ausiello Files

Michael Ausiello at EW.com got us thinking about his spoiler about the season finale of "House" with an episode title of "Help Me".  Who could it be?  Hit the comments section for your guesses.

Question: Tell us more about the scene in the House finale you called “one of my favorite Huddy moments ever.” —Annie
Ausiello: It’s dark. House and Cuddy are lying down. And there’s moaning.

Question: It’s not fair that you got to see the House finale before us. Not fair at all. The least you can do is slip us a scoop or a tease. —Julie

Ausiello: The “unanswered question with one of our actors” that exec producer Katie Jacobs teased a few weeks back involves a major character leaving Princeton-Plainsboro.
